“My art continues to be driven by a desire to create but always experiment with new
approaches and challenges. Abstracts and representational work pull me as equally as does the love for both watercolors and oils.”

The seashore has always been a comforting and spiritual place to Gina. Born and raised in South Carolina, her family enjoyed travels all along the South Carolina coast. Myrtle Beach, Edisto Island, Beaufort and Hilton Head were favorite coastal retreats. After an art degree, and several graphic design positions, Gina found herself working in Higher Education Admissions while getting her Masters in Education. Freelancing in graphic design and fine art commissions remained a priority.

Later, as a military spouse, Gina continued to paint the local scenes and people of their many U.S. and overseas assignments plus extended travels. Favorite
destinations for painting were Italy, Hawaii, Australia and Cuba. Settling in the East Beach area of coastal Virginia has meant finding a pristine, beautiful and nurturing Chesapeake Bay neighborhood. Being just steps away from the southern bay beaches and minutes away from the Atlantic Ocean continues to inspire her love for shoreside landscapes. And, she consistently takes her paints with her on travels throughout and beyond the states - for personal pleasure and oﬃcial plein air events —as well as with her husband and dog cruising on their boat. Gina also teaches private lessons in watercolors, acrylics and oil painting from her East Beach studio.
