Collection: Betsy DiJulio

Betsy DiJulio, an award-winning artist and art educator, is the upper school art teacher and curator of Perrel Gallery at Norfolk Academy in Norfolk, VA. Passionate about art, animals, cooking, communication, and exercise for as long as she can remember, she is also a vegan cookbook author and blogger and a widely published freelance writer/columnist on topics of art and art education, home and garden design, food, eco-issues, artisanal businesses, and day-hiking. DiJulio’s culinary memoirs have been published by Alimentum, and her first memoir, "Bitter Wine, Sweet Melons: Suffering Loss & Savoring Life" will be published by Outer Banks Press in 2025. Widowed in 2015, Betsy and her new husband split their time between their homes in Virginia Beach and the OBX. When she is not in her studio or office, at home or school, you are likely to find her walking fast and far with her two hounds, exercising in front of an episode of "Madame Secretary," or creating new recipes to share with students, friends, and family.
