Elaine Charney

Elaine is an attorney who enjoyed a career as an Administrative Law Judge in Michigan and worked for the US Dept. of Homeland Security before turning to art in 2006.She taught Beginning and Intermediate-Advanced Watercolor for Adult Community Enrichment at the Suncoast Technical Collage for 12 years and brought internationally known artist to teach workshops at Art Center Sarasota.

She was a member of many art organizations while living in Florida, including the Florida Watercolor Society where she was awarded a Signature Membership; the Suncoast Florida Watercolor Society where she was awarded a Master Signature Membership; the International Society of Experimental Artists; Art Center Sarasota; Art Center Manatee and the Venice Art Center. During those years she entered many exhibitions and won many awards.

In February 2023 Elaine moved to Norfolk, VA. She teaches art at Harbor's Edge. Her art can be viewed on her website, www.Elainecharney.com.
