I am a potter from Norfolk, Virginia. I throw my pieces on a wheel from a variety of different stoneware clays. My goal is to make unique but highly functional pieces that get used often and are well-loved. My work apart through surface design. I’ve begun using a pointillism technique, applying tiny dots of glaze to the piece to create movement and texture that is both mesmerizing to look at and fun to hold. I am eager to continue exploring this technique and watching it evolve. I’m also influenced by fabric textile patterns,
design eras like mid-century modern or art deco and our coastal region.
