Collection: Bonnie Byrum

My name is Bonnie G. Byrum, I am a Pastel Artist. I have lived in Suffolk, Va. all my life. I am self-taught with the exception of a few water- color classes with Mr. Robert Bernell. Drawing was and still is my passion for as long as I can remember. I have been painting for 30 years and have painted in different mediums, although, I have only been painting in Pastels for about 25 years, I have come to enjoy this medium. To be able to paint the skies and the oceans, where " the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters " (Genesis 1:1) gives me peaceful pleasure to paint. I have and do enjoy painting other subject matter as well, portraits being my first endeavor, then landscapes, animals.
